Welcome to the 2026 pool!

We have no Canadians in the 2026 pool but the flag remains as a decades-long shout-out to Darcy and Jeff.  Let me know if anyone else is playing from outside the USA.

Welcome to our 37th season of Frest's "Ex-CSC & Friends" Football pool!

This year we are doing everything from this site. Total control wrestled back from cbssports.com and hopefully it will be more fun as we go through the season, enjoying the enhancements ChatGPT has helped us integrate into this ancient website.

Season and Week-by-Week results are always posted here.  Click those hyperlinks for the details.

Click here for the 2025 playoff and payouts schedule (9 additional participants this season = higher weekly payouts for top 3!).

The Participants page has been updated now that we are rolling along with the 2025 season!  Have found at least a corporate website photo for all our rookies, but if anyone wants a refresh on their picture in the Participants section, send in a new one.  Some of your pictures are 20+ years old at this point, too.

Now that ALL our checks and e-payments are in, any good check memo subject lines, PayPal/Venmo comments or even Apple Pay quips will get added to the "Check please!" page... and that was finally done while I was preparing for our playoffs!

Notable FBP get-togethers:

December 2023:

The latest gathering of FBP participants, including (from L-R): Linda (who used to write the checks for Matteo's entry fees), Renee (who used to write the checks for Ed E's entry fees), Ed E, Frest, Steve M (not in pool), Mosko, NanFan, Matteo and Scott M.

December 2022:

Seven members of the FBP were among the ex-CSCers who gathered for a holiday lunch in December.  Not quite an all-time record but close.

Back row - Scott M, Matteo, Steve (not in pool), NanFan, Frest, Kris, Ed E, Deb (not in pool)

Front row - Sonal (not in pool), Steve "Mosko"

August 2022:

One of the newest members of the pool (FoJo) caught up with one of our original members (Lisa F) this summer during a FBP gathering in Boston:

December 2018:

More long-time pool members at perhaps the largest gathering of FBP participants (outside of a Shue or Pawelkiwicz/Ceddia family holiday or wedding gathering, I guess):

That's Steve "Cranjis McBasketball" Moskowitz, Kris, Frest, Nancy (a.k.a."NanFan", "No Legs Fantuzzi"), Matteo, Scott M. and Mike M across the back there, with two non-pool ex-CSC folks (Sonal and Steve in positions 6 and 7 from the left).  Brian B. was also at this lunch so we had 8 FBP participants in one place, which I've now established as the record to beat at any (and all) future gatherings!  Oh wait... Tim L. took the picture so that makes 9.  (Ed E. was there too but he is on sabbatical from the FBP this year so I can't include him in the official headcount.)

August 2018:  Long-time pool members Fitz, Lisa F. and Frest gathered with 2018 rookie Mike McCarthy at a brewery in Massachusetts to discuss pre-season action:

April 2014: Another great get-together of current and former FBP participants in Boston (Julie Y., Lisa F., Jeremy M, and Forrest):

1-6-07: Big historic football pool happenings occurred during the Cowboys/Seahawks game.  Click the thumbnail below to see the gathering that occurred Saturday night in Boston.  Yep, that's right - it's Lisa, Jack "Chad Sexington" & Frest in a bar right by Fenway!  Loads of fun to meet them in person for the first time!

That was a great night - little did I know the foreshadowing involved, as Jack's first comment upon seeing the photo was related to the stains on his shirt and how "once you have kids you forever have evidence of their meals on all of your clothes".  Within a few years of that 2007 picture, I was consistently sporting the "Bateman Blotches" on my shirts!

This page has been visited by many, many* football pool enthusiasts.

* I am feeling old as page counters are no longer cool, and therefore no longer supported by the hipster webhosting site that I use for the football pool.

Remember - if you don't pay your $100 by the end of September, you owe the pool administrator a case of beer (good beer, like Harp maybe, not something disgusting like Bud Light Lime) for each week into October that you are late with your entry fee.  If you still haven't paid in November, you must deliver delicious hot pizza to my door personally before each Monday Night Football game in November.  If you still haven't paid in December, you have to do all my Christmas shopping for me... without using Amazon.  You don't even want to know what will happen if you still haven't paid by the time we get to January.
